The Schett family has been working in the valley Villgraten on the Lahnberg at 1550 m above sea level for 600 years. Many have been driven away from the narrow valley with steep slopes, but Josef Schett did not let the bond with his homeland fade and he discovered his passion for almost extinct crafts and original production methods.
In 1985, the company was founded under the leadership of Josef Schett. The basis for wool processing was laid, a lot of research was done and information about sheep's wool was gathered, until in 1991 the Villgrater Natur Haus opened with its first products.
From here on, the company grew and is now one of the Osttirol (East Tyrolean) manufactories. Josef Schett, his daughter Rebecca and their team stand for originality instead of staging.
In simplicity lies goodness and this can still be seen in the valley Villgraten. Despite the social changes in the 1950s, development and mass tourism largely bypassed this mountain region.
The valley has retained its original, unique character.
