From the Plätzwiese parking lot, which is easy to reach by car or bus, the hike begins in the direction of the "Berggasthof Plätzwiese" following the hiking trail no. 37. Directly behind it is hiking trail no. 40, which you follow to the top. When you reach the fork in the path, keep left and do not turn towards the Dürrensteinhütte.

Following trail no. 40, the terrain becomes increasingly rocky until you reach a pre-summit. You hike over it, secured with a wire rope, and already see the summit cross. The summit is reached in just a few meters and you are rewarded with an impressive view.
