The hike starts from the parking lot at the end of the Gsieser Valley. Follow the G markings along forest trail no. 49 in the direction of Pidig. You pass numerous huts in Pidig, which invite you to take a break. These include the Messnerhütte, the Kradorfer Alm, up to the Oberbergalm, which is located at 1975m. From there, follow trail no. 49 up to the Hochkreuz (2739 m).

The descent is via trail no. 12 over the Pfoischarte down into the Pfoi valley, until you reach the starting point again.
