From the Mountain Residence Montana you can ride along the main road or bicycle path to Preindl. There the first climb towards Frondeigen begins. At the top, the first short descent to the Silvester Valley begins. There you climb up to about 1800m above sea level to the Silveteralm. From there you descend to Versciaco and continue to San Candido. There begins the first long ascent to the Croda Rossa (about 20km).From the Croda Rossa you leave the Sesto Valley and head out to San Candido and on to Dobbiaco and the Höhlensteintal. Passing the Dobbiaco Lake, the route climbs slightly along the cycle path towards the Dürrensee. Shortly after the Dürrensee the actual ascent towards Prato Piazza begins. Via Prato Piazza to the descent towards Villabassa and from there to the last ascent, partly along the Roman Path, back to Frondeigen. From there back down into the Casies Valley and back to the Mountain Residence Montana.
