The temporary ridge of high pressure will gradually weaken, although conditions will remain fairly pleasant.
It will remain sunny until the afternoon, with just a few high clouds passing through. Later on, localised showers or thunderstorms may develop from the cumulus clouds.
Clouds will dominate the skies, with the first showers arriving early in the morning. After a brief lull, further showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon, some of which may be heavy.

Temperatures will fall.On Thursday, the weather will tend to improve with sunny spells, particularly in the south, and slightly changeable conditions along the border ridge. A north wind will blow in many valleys. Friday will also be fairly sunny, with more cloud cover in the north.Saturday will be sunny with summer temperatures.
