The cross-country ski trail starts in the cross-country stadium in Dobbiaco and leads along the old railway line through the Höhlenstein Valley, past the Dobbiaco Lake, the Warriors' Cemetery and the Dürrensee. At the Dürrensee there is also a beautiful view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. From there it continues uphill to the Gemärk Pass and further downhill through the galleries to Fiames.

The nearby road with several bus stops allows you to return by bus at any time.
