From the skilift in Santa Maddalena (1460m) follow the signpost no. 12 to the Pfoialm. If you want use the shortcut you should know that it is steep and mostly icy. Now keep slightly left over hilly terrain until you reach a scarp. This scarp can only be walked when snow conditions are safe. From there you continue over the valley floor and then turn right to the Pfoischarte. From there, the trail continues in a north-easterly direction until you reach a ridge which leads up to the left. Over this ridge or to the right you will reach the summit. The descent is via the ascent route.
