From the skilift in Santa Maddalena (1460m) follow the signpost no. 47 to the start of the toboggan run. At an altitude of about 1627m you reach a fork where you turn right and then cross a wooden bridge to continue on forest road no. 48 towards the Tscharnietalm. Follow this road until you reach a small power station at an altitude of about 1850m. Here you cross the Tscharnietbach once more and leave the path. On the orographically right side of the brook you now climb up over light meadows and past the alpine huts (1976m). Here you keep left and reach open and ascending terrain. At approx. 2000m, already above the forest line, keep left and you can already see the Kalksteinjöchl (2349m), bordered by the Geil- and Körlspitze.
