From the Mountain Residence Montana you walk cross-country to the valley station of the ski lift. Cross the bridge of the little river and follow the signs for path no. 12, turn left and after the Schlosser Hof turn left again and follow the road through the forest. Small forest clearings open up and will offer you impressive views over the valley and the Braies Dolomites. Along this path, through more meadows and woods, you finally reach your hiking destination, the Uwaldalm (2042m, refreshment stop). If you wish, it would also be possible to hike even further to the hill above the Uwaldalm, the Spielbichl.
