Starting from the Mountain Residence Montana, walk uphill along the road until you reach the ski slope, from there continue along the border of the slope uphill until you reach the alpine path with the sign "Ascht, Nr. 10". Follow this forest path to the Aschtalm (1950m, refreshment stop), then continue westwards - always staying on the path - to the Pfinnalm (2152m). Alternatively, you can also walk uphill from the Aschtalm on the orographically left side of the river, through light mountain forest and wide alpine meadows to the Pfinnalm.
