From the starting point, follow the Schlossweg path to the farm, then turn right and follow the signs for Eggerberg/Niederdorf or trail marker no. 45. After about an hour, you reach the highest and most beautiful point of the hike, the so-called Aussichtswarte (1460m), which offers a view over the Pustertal and the eastern Dolomites. Before descending, turn right and then right again at the small E-Werk station. Then walk down Eggerberg, past the Mooskirche and through the Industrial zone. Follow this road until you meet the "Von-Kurz-Straße" at the church in Niederdorf. There you turn right, cross the Rienz bridge to get to the bus stop and from there you can take the bus back to Welsberg.
